初夏的早晨，江南田野，一个天真活泼的牧童骑着水牛去放牛。牧童做了一个梦，牛忽然失踪了。原来牛被飞流千尺的瀑布所吸引。牧童唤牛，牛不动。牧童从风竹发出的声响有所领悟，削竹为笛，吹奏出悠扬悦耳的乐曲。水牛被笛声吸引回牧童身边。牧童骑上牛背，踏着暮色的田埂，悠然归去。。Summer 1943: Hitler engages in a decisive battle in Kursk to win the war in the East.
