谭西敏（刘德华 饰）江湖人称“侠圣”，如今的身份是一名私家侦探。某日，他和助手接下了一个价值连城的案子，奉命保护百万富翁罗之，那晓得任务失败，隔日罗之便死于非命。谭西敏觉得此中必有蹊跷，于是转而守护在罗之的妻子罗太太（关之琳 饰）身边。 罗太太震惊的得知丈夫留下了市值一亿元的钻石，并且和黑社会有着瓜葛，并表示之前对于此事一无所知。黑社会将目标瞄准了罗太太，命令她交出钻石，然而，他们得到的钻石却全是赝品。聪明的谭西敏知道罗太太没说实话，于是找到她想问出真相，与此同时，黑社会派出的杀手亦来到了罗太太的身边。。朱蔷薇（韩可露饰）在某天晚上准备向交往已久的男友告白，没想到竟然被孔琪泰（延宇振饰）搅黄了，更没想到这是男友设下的局，朱蔷薇就这样莫名奇妙的“被分手”了。孔琪泰是整形医院院长，至今单身，为了能够更好的掌握自己的财政大权，决定先给妈妈吃定心丸，把自己的“女友”带回家，而他相中的这个“女友”就是冤家朱蔷薇。两个毫无关系的人，就这样开始了他们的“逗比”之旅。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
