The new cook sees an opportunity to rouse his fellow staff to re-think...。故事发生在江户时代末年，雾里（高冈早纪 饰）偶然之中遇见了孤女朝雾（安达佑实 饰），将她带回了妓院，训练其成为了游女。朝雾曾遭到母亲的虐待，身上遍布了樱花状的伤疤，却因祸得福，因为这异于常人之处而备受客人喜爱。
某日，在盛大的祭奠中，朝雾邂逅了名为半次郎（渊上泰史 饰）的青年，善良老师的半次郎吸引了朝雾的注意，使得她坠入了情网之中。然而，身为妓院头牌，恋爱是被明令禁止的，朝雾因此而遭到了老板娘的斥责。之后，在吉田屋（津田宽治 饰）举办的宴会上，朝雾和半次郎重逢了，吉田屋察觉到了两人流露出的情谊，占有欲极强的他决定拆散他们。。
