克林特·伊斯特伍德在片中饰演一位现代的猎人，专门追捕警方悬赏缉捕的歹徒。这一次他的盯梢物件是个性懦弱的新纳粹主义分子，不料歹待的同伙竟然把他的小婴儿绑架了去，导致婴儿的母亲急如热锅上的蚂蚁。于是他反过来帮忙歹徒的妻子救回她的孩子，而片名所指的粉红色凯迪拉克轿车就是故事中主要的道具。导演不强调暴力动作场面，反而将本片拍了出了一点喜剧味道，主角的搭档也颇有新鲜感。。Would you fall in love with a person whose voice you haven't heard for months, whose face you haven't touched, you can't smell, you don't even have the chance to pass by the same street, you can't even be in the same photo, who is miles away from you, even by seas, islands and cities。
