民间相传：深夜独行时，如果有人叫你的名字，一定要在第三声之后答应，否则便会迷路。村子里接连出现失踪案件，这样的诅咒流传开来，弄得人心惶惶。主人公蔡康的父亲也下落不明，并且自己的妹妹也受到惊吓。蔡康决定复原回家，查个水落石出。蔡康的母亲长期受到家庭暴力不希望他在继续追查下去，催促蔡康与未婚妻刘丹赶紧结婚。而刘丹与蔡康的弟弟蔡振早已发生了关系，三人面对了亲情与爱情的艰难抉择。蔡康在追查案件的过程中，锁定了“老光棍”丁原，并设计引他上钩，虽然丁原交代了自己利用诅咒谋财的事实，但并没有杀害蔡康的父亲，诅咒依然没有破解。如梦方醒的蔡康独自走在父亲失踪的小路，突然他看到了自己最不愿相信的事情……。Michael is a successful actor, but he has a scandal in his past: at a tender age he knifed his father to death.
