电视剧《冰山上的来客》是根据1963年的经典电影《冰山上的来客》改编的，这部片子曾激励了几代人的奋斗与成长，40年后两拨儿“冰山来客”要在荧屏聚首。电视剧《冰山上的来客》虽然改编自同名电影，但导演戴冰的手法不同于以往红色经典的改编，戴冰根据当年电影编剧白辛记录的素材，另起炉灶重新编一个故事，电视剧首尾都是新内容，只有中间一部分将老故事融入进来。之所以电视剧依然叫《冰山上的来客》，戴冰说：“新故事很大篇幅都来自电影编剧白辛记录的大量素材，另外表现的主题是不变的。”。Emma is a businesswoman coming from Australia to the U.S to sign a controversial oil contract. On her way to a press conference, she jumps into a taxi. Soon after, to her surprise, she is attacked and drugged by the taxi driver. She wakes up tied to a chair in a filthy cabin.
