本部于1998年由导演刘天富与陈建仪执导的新加坡电视剧《卫斯理传奇》，以香港著名作家倪匡创作的科幻小说《卫斯理》系列为创作灵感。本片由著名演员陶大宇、郑惠玉主演，新、港、台三地艺人同台飙戏，可谓看点十足。片中的特技设计也有长足的进步，模型设计灯光和剪接也配合得少有破绽。。
