志豪（刘德华饰演）与好友章英杰（李青山）及庄天栋三人一向喜爱体育运动。志豪任职体育用品推销员，一向热爱赛跑，亦时以身为赛跑好手为荣。他性格开朗活泼，自信心强。英杰性格沉实内向，为脱离父亲的摆布，在志豪的介绍下成为体育用品推销员，并受志豪影响爱上赛跑运动，更视运动为神圣使命。天栋则是羽毛球好手，头脑灵活的他一向处事圆滑，为求向上爬，不惜放弃运动，出卖自己人格，故意在比赛中输给对手。相反，志豪与英杰则互相扶持努力向职业跑手的路迈进。 可惜，好景不常，志豪与英杰在工作上因误会而起冲突，再加上二人同时对好友余文静产生爱意，令二人的友情受到前所未有的考验。英杰与文静相好，更令志豪意志消沉，心灰意冷，放弃赛跑。英杰耐心劝志豪重新练跑参加大赛，几经波折，志豪终被感动。大赛当日，志豪斗志激昂，誓与英杰在跑道上公平地决一高下。可是，向终点进发的他却迟迟未见英杰的身影，...。二戰後期美國與納粹在法國一處農村展開戰火，年輕的美國軍人路易斯因一次猶豫，導致上尉貝克特受了重傷。中尉麥克斯威爾倉促調度準備撤離，然而在離開前，戰地醫院被以迪崔為首的納粹勢力占領。貝克特的傷勢每況愈下，路易斯為了彌補自己犯下的大錯，把握僅剩的最後一次機會、進行脫逃搶救，帶領美國人得到自由。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
