1912年，向警予在省立第一女子师范求学,毕业后回家乡创办溆浦女校。后向警予赴法勤工俭学，与蔡和森结成“向蔡同盟”。1921年向警予回国，在党的二大上，当选为中央委员和第一任妇女部长，在党的三大上当选中央政治局委员。随后向警予担任了国民党中央妇女运动委员会书记。1925年，向警予领导和组织了震惊中外的五卅运动，大革命失败后向警予坚持留在武汉，挑起了中共湖北省委的重担。1928年，向警予被法国巡捕房抓捕。同年5月1日壮烈牺牲，年仅32岁。。A businessman mysteriously wakes up in an open-air prison cell with only an old grist mill.
