该片是2019年推出的动画《巴加的工作室》的续篇，以KOHATA动画工作室为舞台，讲述在这里制作动画的人们，和类似仓鼠的生物“巴加”之间的日常故事。。山西丁村是一个历史文化名村，但是乡村发展却一直不温不火，当地民俗学者陶富海形象地比喻是“拿着金饭碗讨饭”。面对日新月异的时代变化，村民都在思考着家乡的发展，就在此时，丁村党支部书记丁文涛盘算着如何利用丁村传统文化的优势发展乡村旅游。。A stark and intimate portrait of a woman against all odds, marginalised by society and trying to find a way to survive in a world where motherhood, misogyny, crime, and independence meet.
