后来他在一个合唱团里认识了一位极有天分的女孩巫慧敏（周慧敏 饰），本来打算对她多加照顾培训，却遭到慧敏母亲朱丽娥（郑裕玲 饰）的不满，以为雅历对自己年轻的女儿动了歪念，两人也因此成为了斗气冤家。
经多次的交往之后，朱丽娥才发现自己误会了雅历，便对他完全改观了，有困难的时候丽娥也主动找雅历帮忙。丽娥本来就是个离婚妇人，遇到了同样感情空虚的雅历，两人之间很快便滋长了爱情。这时，雅历的前女友碧姬却回来要求复合……。本片以男主角Warren（丹·福勒饰）的狂想串联起整个故事，这个普通男人有着坚定的阴谋论，他试图进行反文化的尝试，解析社会结构，去让人们了解，在我们的世界中，真正发生着什么、谁在背后操控一切。但是渐渐地，我们看到的是他自己..。
