化妆师顾翘楚在一次夜归时无意目睹了一起连环妇女失踪案的行凶过程，并意外看到了那个凶手的真实面貌。凶手发现了翘楚，对她痛下杀手，翘楚为躲避翻身滚下吊桥……。香港半山的一幢七十年古老大屋，住著業主張小姐（丁珮）與姘夫炳少（陳百祥）之外，其他住客如的士輝（劉家輝）、口水驃（盧大偉）、大蓮（李殿朗）、坡叔（劉克宣）、PC強（詹森）及龍醫生（谷峰）等，來自江湖四海，各有背景，各有職業，居於一屋，爭執難免。地產商曾公子（曹查理）透過師爺（羅國維）收購大屋，炳少見錢開眼，於是一連串之逼遷與反逼遷的行動相繼展開，笑中有淚，淚中有笑，最後收購計劃終告失敗，全部住客同被政府徙置於新型屋村。。Sofía, an insecure young nanny who starts her new job taking care of two problematic kids.
