此次，蔡明亮拍摄的微电影《无无眠》依然是与他的老搭档李康生合作，小康在片中依然有着“行走”的长镜头，而其中最让人印象深刻的是一场主演安藤政信与李康生各自的洗澡戏。谈到这场戏，蔡明亮笑说，因为拍片的时候东京天气很冷，而且小康之前也中过风，觉得他的身体需要被保护，于是把原本行走的戏改成了泡澡。李康生也表示，“那天无光着头光着脚在接近零度的地方走，边走边发抖，实在是太辛苦了。” 蔡明亮的电影风格一直特立独行，在他自己看来，他并不是在拍电影，而是在写生，看到什么就拍什么，感觉到什么就拍什么。他也承认自己的电影没有情节，只有影像感觉。不过，他也觉得这样的风格没什么大碍，“提供观众另外一种看电影的概念，无感或者睡着都行，电影不一定要承载习惯的东西，不同的电影对眼界或者思考都会带来不一样的感受。”。In the Post-World War II, in Los Angeles, a criminal shots and kills a police officer in the middle of the night.
