本剧讲述了1850年代淘金热期间，华裔澳大利亚人不为人知的经历。故事以真实事件为灵感，发生在1957年澳大利亚维多利亚州的巴拉瑞特。在那里，欧洲人、中国人和澳洲原住民（包含澳大利亚土著人和托雷斯海峡岛民）共同生活在一个西部边陲的小镇上，他们试图通过淘金致富。一名白人女性在此地遭到谋杀，对凶手的追捕在不同群体间掀起了轩然大波。。This story is based where the skateboard culture is the most foreign, the Midwest. Derrick Cabrera, like all skaters, has a dream of being sponsored and one day going pro. He is an up and coming skater with all the talent but has the world against him. Parents, friends and schoolmates can't understand how Derrick has so much passion for something that has no future in their eye...。
