TBS播出的电视剧《继续》的电影版，故事承接电视版与电视版特别篇。 从医院出院的真山彻（渡部篤郎饰）警官与天才少女柴田纯（中谷美纪饰）警官，一起接受委托，来到神秘的厄神岛参加聚会。厄神岛流传着岛上东西会消失的神秘传说，并且参加聚会的人与15年前龙神号沉船事件有密切的关联，岛上主人更说出“你们都会死去的”恐怖预言。果然，是夜就开始了孤岛连续杀人事件。 而电视版中最终不知去向的变态犯罪者朝仓，似乎也在某个角落，计划着一个更大的阴谋。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
