故事以游戏为基础，是前作D.C.53年之后的故事。故事中两位女主角朝仓音姬和朝仓由梦是前作主角的孙女，但动画以女主角之一的月岛小恋与主角交往为开头，以游戏剧情的天枷美夏路线为结尾。。Plebs is described as "a thoroughly modern comedy in an ancient setting."
