善良勤快的农村姑娘田小草（闫学晶 饰）是一个命苦的女人，她的母亲早年去世，偏偏父亲又是一个嗜酒如命热衷赌博的男人，加上弟弟体弱多病，因此全家的生计全靠小草柔弱的肩膀支撑。为了给弟弟治病，她嫁给同村的李来顺（胡亚捷 饰）。李来顺家境较好，为人也勤快能干，婚后生下一子后，眼见得人生发生了转变。谁知丈夫受伤瘫痪，家道中落，小草不得不再度成为李家的顶梁柱。在此期间，弟媳喜凤想方设法挤兑她，在外则有地痞牛二等人的欺负。 田小草人如其名，看似柔弱，却依然坚韧不屈地在阳光下昂然生长……。This story is based where the skateboard culture is the most foreign, the Midwest. Derrick Cabrera, like all skaters, has a dream of being sponsored and one day going pro. He is an up and coming skater with all the talent but has the world against him. Parents, friends and schoolmates can't understand how Derrick has so much passion for something that has no future in their eye...。
