由于所在的东大研究室因故关闭，头脑灵光的研究员田茂青志（二宫和也 饰）回到当初念书的升学名校小田原城德高中，受聘成为一名老师。当年田茂曾是校棒球部的队员，与棒球名门堂东学院的明星谷内田健太郎（市川海老藏 饰）有过刻骨铭心的较量。而今棒球部今非昔比，只有六名球员根本无法参加正式比赛。在棒球经理樽见柚子（有村架纯 饰）等人的劝说下，田茂勉为其难与棒球再续前缘，担任棒球部的教练。凭借一股“就算徒劳也要取胜”的念头，田茂找来赤岩（福士苍汰 饰）等人。 虽然水平有很大的差距，但他相信这支队伍即使弱小也能战胜强者……。Two brothers embark on an adventure of a lifetime -a journey deep inside the WW2 tunnels of Gibraltar to find a lost treasure.
