本作は面倒くさがりな独身OL・面堂露（めんどうつゆ）が、めんつゆを使用した“最強時短レシピ”を開発する物語。劇中には露のほか、几帳面で料理を手作りすることにこだわる十越いりこ、炭水化物と脂質に命を懸ける保ヶ辺勉、保ヶ辺に恋をしており無理に大食いをする恋愛依存症の白田舞といったキャラクターが登場する。。根据谷口治郎同名漫画《散步去》改编，描写了因工作关系，与妻子一起搬到郊外的一户人家的男人，一边感受着在城市看不到的自然风景，一边散步的故事。 看似平凡的散步，为日常注入了新的元素。。Newly-promoted if none too happily married Howard Brubaker leaves a rowdy Company party early with the stunning Catherine, whom it turns out is herself unhappily married - to the boss.
