拥有直升机紧急救援的大学附属医院迎来了一批实习医生。他们分别是蓝泽耕作（山下智久 饰）、白石惠（新垣结衣 饰）、绯山美帆子（户田绘里香 饰）和滕川一男（浅利阳介 饰）。直升机每天平均运送7到8个急救患者，能协助医生坐上直升飞机是对其应变能力和医术的证明，大家都跃跃欲试。 四人的性格各不相同。蓝泽最有能力但过于冷静；白石理论知识很强但缺乏魄力；绯山表现欲强但易冲动；滕川则相对平庸做事马虎。最初开始的紧急救援让大家手忙脚乱，看似拉风的直升机需要与之相应的能力与魄力。在一系列救援的过程中，他们直面死亡与无奈，也鉴证奇迹，体味人情。互为竞争对手的他们，谁能最终留下来？还是携手共进？。Cosimo, a buffalo farmer, refuses to sell off his land to the family of the young mayor candidate.
