这部电影以发生在冲绳阿嘉岛民宿中被饲养的雄犬“白”（Shiro）为原型改编而成。白为了与生活在对岸座间味岛的恋人雌犬“玛丽琳”（Marilyn）相会，勇敢地游过大海。这一感人故事启发了这部作品的创作。原作和剧本由野泽尚撰写。饰演白的主角是真正的白犬，而由于拍摄时真正的玛丽琳已经去世，因此采用了同品种的另一只狗来扮演她的角色。。Nikita lives in the small town of Chegarinsk, which is right on the drug trafficking route from Central Asia to Siberia. Deciding to go to Moscow to build a musical career, Nikita wants to earn extra money. His childhood friend offers to transport a bag of drugs, and during a trip to Krasnoyarsk, Nikita miraculously does not fall into the hands of the police。
