本作は、主人公の女子高校生・谷田純が改ざんされた歴史を修正するため過去にさかのぼり、暗号を解き明かしていくさまを追うSFコメディ。西暦2520年、正体不明のサイバーテロリストが歴史をハッキングしたことで、かつての偉人たちは歴史上から抹殺され、現代では世界を巻き込んだ大戦が勃発してしまう。過去のバグを修正し歴史を元通りにするため、純と同級生・江畑は過去にタイムリープし、バグである「暗号＝謎」の解読を試みる。。As a child, Luther Watts was deeply affected by seeing a circus geek (someone who bites the heads off live chickens in a circus sideshow).
