直人（森川智之 配音）和直也（石田彰 配音）是雾原家的两兄弟。由于拥有不同与常人的超能力，两人从很小的时候起就与养父御厨恭二郎（中村秀利 配音）与世隔绝居的住在荒无人烟的森林深处。也多亏了直人的陪伴，能够解读人心的直也才得以在这个充满黑暗和邪恶的世界中继续生活下去。 御厨恭二郎的死解开了森林里的结界，毫无社会经验的兄弟两人流落到人心叵测的社会中区。要在这里生存，就得吃饭，想吃饭，就要先赚钱。因为自身的超能力，两人几番经历的惊险时刻，亏有神秘的少女双海翔子（渡边明乃 配音）出手相助才得以脱险。而就在两人渐渐适应社会生活的时候，他们发现，自己貌似被卷入了某个阴谋之中。。A Japanese ghost story adapted from Hearn's "Yuki-Onna"(Kwaidan). Two woodcutters, an old man and his young apprentice, Minokichi get trapped in a snowstorm in the forest and take refuge in a hut.
