It’s the end of summer vacation for Amin. The young photographer spends cozy evenings with Charlotte, the ex-girlfriend of his casanova cousin. She talks to him about literature, he photographs her. Between Amin’s encounters with these women and his dreams of cinema, many choices open up to him.。80年代初的重庆，长江边一条起伏的小巷——望龙巷深处，有一座老宅小院，小院的主人向伯涛，是三四十年代朝天门的工商业主，与儿孙四代人就居住在这里。五六十年代后，这座小院里陆续搬来了若干家“阶级成份好”的人家与原来的主人向伯涛一家为邻。然而习惯上，望龙巷的人们仍将这府小院称为“向家小院”。。
