The poet Dante is lost in a dark and gloomy wood. At the summit of a mountain he sees the light of salvation. He endeavors to ascend to it, but his way is barred by three wild beasts, symbolizing Avarice, Pride and Lust. Beatrice sees his predicament and descends from Paradise into Limbo, where she asks the poet Virgil to rescue and guide Dante. Virgil knows another way to go, ...。沈笑（高圆圆 饰）是一名成绩优异个性独立的女高中生，由于不满学校违反教育局规定利用摸底考试分流差生的举动，沈笑参与了班级里几个学生组织的偷试卷的行动，她照着偷来的试卷做出了一份“标准答案”，却也因此被卷入了麻烦之中，同学的自杀和背叛让沈笑看到了人生黑暗的一面。 林季红（孙嘉一 饰）是沈笑的好友，而林季红的哥哥林季军（田小洁 饰）竟然是一名凶残冷酷的毒贩，与此同时，他也是沈笑身为警察的父亲沈锡良（张志忠 饰）一直在调查和追捕的罪犯。对这一切并不知晓的沈笑不明白为何家人如此反对她同林季红的交往，心生叛逆的她处处和母亲作对，甚至放弃了高考。。
