该剧讲述了榆林王高德昌和孤女羊粪蛋之间的故事。。65岁的莱斯利（汤姆·威尔金森 Tom Wilkinson 饰）在杀手界里已经算是个名副其实的老人了，职业杀手吃的是青春饭，老板给莱斯利定下了KPI，如果无法完成指标，那么莱斯利将被开除。能够信赖这么一个老人的客户渐渐的不多了，为了达成指标，莱斯利决定将自己的客户目标放在那些想要自杀的人身上。 威廉姆（阿纽林·巴纳德 Aneurin Barnard 饰）就是这样一个想要自杀的年轻人，只不过他试了好几次都没能成功。在机缘巧合之下，威廉姆遇见了莱斯利，和他签下了一周之内包死的合同。可就在之后没多久，威廉姆便遇上了他的真命天女，这下子，这个年轻人一点都不想死了！。In the months following the terrorist attacks in Paris, the youth have seized the nights, looking for a sense of belonging in a world they have ceased to understand.
