中国女孩万云（刘芸 饰）在姑奶奶万静娴（汪裴 饰）去世以后看见了她当年的日记。日记里姑奶奶在青年时代的战争经历和情感以及当年800抗战壮士英勇投江的故事，深深打动了万云。她决定沿着当年姑奶奶的脚步，走上寻找真相之路。日本人中村一郎（涩谷天马 Tenma Shibuya 饰）由父亲老中村一手带大。老中村患有老年痴呆症，一直被自己的战争经历困扰着。为了让父亲有个平静的晚年，中村一郎踏上了去马家崖的旅途。两个不同国籍、不同文化、不同经历的年轻人在相同的地点相遇了…… 纪念碑、千人坑、革命纪念馆、老人杨镇江（李立群 饰）的回忆，记忆碎片渐渐拼合，一个尘封已久的抗战故事慢慢浮现在两人面前。。霹雳酷乐猫中，酷乐是老爷爷和老奶奶饲养的小猫，一直过着愉快的生活。然而梦想征服世界的刚博士，为了实现自己的野心，将善战的小黑猫酷乐改造成战斗机器猫。但莫名其妙被改造的酷乐，却不接受刚博士的控制，而回到主人爷爷及奶奶身边。不死心的刚博士为了打倒背叛的酷乐便与伙伴小M制造了其他生化机械兵器，不过倒霉的刚博士似乎永远都控制不了自己制造的机器，于是再度失控的机器人军团开始大闹樱花镇，此时就连外星人及怪兽都来凑一脚。因此为了收拾刚博士的烂摊子，酷乐、小M与独眼龙小虎联手出击，为守护樱花镇的和平与敌人展开激烈的战斗。不过据说他们所造成的破坏似乎比敌人还多……。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs.
